Ajax Cape Town will be fighting for their lives when their battle for top-flight status comes to its final round.
One of the biggest derbies in the country, and that simply means that form should be thrown out the window!
The Absa Premiership returns to our screens this weekend with a cracker of a match lined up as league leaders Kaizer Chiefs travel to Cape Town to face second place Ajax in a top of the table clash.
With the league title wrapped up by Kaizer Chiefs and just one game remaining, all focus on the PSL has shifted to the relegation battle between Cape Town clubs Chippa United and Ajax.
The Holland Eredivisie is now into gameweek 7 and all the top title contenders are in the front pack. The top two Dutch sides, Ajax and FC Twente, will come head to head this weekend in a match that will play a role in the title race.
The PSL title has come down to the last round of matches with Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates just 2 points off each other and even Kaizer Chiefs still in it as they lie just 3 points behind Ajax.
It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
