The Borrowdale Park race meeting scheduled for Friday 24 April has been postponed due to the extension of the lockdown in Zimbabwe until 3 May
Racing currently goes ahead at Borrowdale Park on Friday where a seven race meeting is headed by the $60 000 Gr3 Zimbabwe 2000, the Kieswetter Brothers have a runner

Last Sunday’s Borrowdale Park racemeeting was held without a photo-finish camera and an investigation has been opened to establish what caused the failure and whether proper procedures were adopted
This may be the very last time we see a race run over 1400m at Borrowdale Park. In the latest racing programme the Zimbabwe Challenge, traditionally run over 1400m, is now shown at 1450m, which involves racing around the home turn, and rumour has it there are other plans for part of our Borrowdale straight.
Bearing in mind that lightly raced two-year-olds can improve out of all recognition, the 1200m Gr3 Champion Juvenile Stakes at Borrowdale Park today seems set to be a particularly challenging race – and two year colts can sometimes be as untrustworthy as teenage boys!
