Take A Leaf Out Of Hewitson’s Full Book

Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h20

Racing takes place on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon and eight races are carded.

After riding a double on Tuesday, Lyle Hewitson has a full book of rides and may be the man to follow.

The first race is due off at 12h35.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Sean Tarry sends out Kissing Booth in Race 2. She ran a good race when finishing second over 1400m last time.

She challenged strongly all the way to the line, but found one too good in the form of Riveting. It must be noted that the form of that race has worked out well.

The daughter of Captain Al should love the extra furlong on offer and can go one better here.

Tuscan Winter for the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable takes his place in Race 6. He was ultra-impressive when winning his maiden over 1160m at Turffontein.

It must be noted that Power Ranger has come out and won since.

The son of What A Winter takes on stronger today, but he is lightly raced and has plenty of scope. Gavin Lerena now takes the ride and he can follow up with another victory.

Randall Simons will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is zero on the back straight and 3m on the bend with a 6m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h35
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h10
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h45
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h20
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 14h55
