Veale And The Gladatorian Vying For Victory

First due off @ 12h05

Hollywoodbets Scottsville plays host to a nine-race programme this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Non-Black Type Michael Roberts Stakes run over 1750m.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h05.

Gladatorian from the Stuart Ferrie stable takes his place in Race 7 and he is the best bet on the programme.

He stayed on at the finish in the Gr3 New Turf Carriers Merchants but found one too good in the form of Dyce. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

He finished second in his only attempt over this distance. He is having his peak run today and is the best weighted runner.

With Jockey Sean Veale in the saddle, this son of Vercingetorix should take a power of a beating.

Honshu represents decent each way value in Race 8. He showed some signs of a form return in his comeback run over 1200m at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

The way he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The good-looking son of Danon Platina would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter.

His only career victory came over this course and distance. If getting away to a clean start, he can return to winning ways.

Jockey S’manga Khumalo will not be riding today.
