Sun Met – Where’s Your Fancy Drawn?

Legal Eagle gets barrier 15

The barrier draws for the R5 million Gr1 Sun Met and the supporting features, to be run at Kenilworth on 27 January, were held at the V&A Waterfront on Wednesday afternoon.

Top-rated dual SA Horse Of The Year Legal Eagle drew 15, while his anticipated arch-rival Marinaresco finds himself at 13 after an outstanding L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate prep.

Mumm’s the word! Jono Snaith is all smiles with his picks

Piere Strydom rides the mostly unexposed 4yo Last Winter and he bids to give Dean Kannemeyer a first Met win. The son of Western Winter jumps from a 20 draw. Dean Kannemeyer reminded those present that Dynasty won the Durban July from a 20 draw!

The Snaith Racing Team were generally pleased with their draws with Jono Snaith representing the champion yard.

The Sporting Post digital racecard will be available on Thursday 18 January.
