PE Trainers Come To Party

Quick action saves racing for Tuesday

Clyde Basel, Racing Executive of Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Ltd, on Sunday afternoon lauded the trainers from Port Elizabeth for their overwhelming response to the unscheduled race meeting which will take place on Tuesday at Fairview.

“I am so impressed. The response from the trainers in Port Elizabeth has been absolutely phenomenal. In less than 24 hours they have enabled us to finalise the declarations for an unscheduled meeting,” Basel said.

“With their response, they have shown that the racing industry can indeed stand together in a time of need. The PE trainers have come to the party when we needed them most and for that, we have to say thank you. The National Racing Bureau got their team together in a matter of hours to pull this together.”

Mark Kinsman, Betting Editor of Phumelela Publishing, on Sunday confirmed that ComputaForm, the official racecard for the Fairview meeting, will be available for free online from Monday morning. One just needs to register on www.computaform.co.za to access the PDF and download.

The ComputaForm books will also be distributed to Gauteng TAB/Betting World outlets as well as the Fairview racecourse, and will be complimentary on a first come first basis while stocks last.
