Greyville – No Go, Sadly

All weather meeting rained out

The Greyville racemeeting scheduled for Wednesday 17 October has been abandoned due to unsafe underfoot conditions.

After 30mm of rain had fallen, dangerous patches at the 1200m and 500m markers were detected following the running of the Barrier Trial.

Disappointed punters and an owner queried how an all-weather meeting could suffer this fate.

The Sporting Post has requested a comment from Gold Circle.

The next racemeeting at Greyville is carded for Friday evening, 19 October.
