Tote Betting Sites Under Whip

Certain users have had problems

The tote websites have been under the spotlight for some time now.

A TABGold customer wrote to us and had his issues resolved in a flash.

Gold Circle Commercial Executive Patrick Loker thanked the Sporting Post for bringing the problem to their attention.

“We are aware of problems being experienced by some users. The issue is not related to the site but specific to certain browsers. We are also addressing the problem regarding the [email protected] email address,” said Mr Loker.

SP Reader Enver asked if Sporting Post was able to throw any light on the TABGold on-line betting site problem. He wrote that the site has been down for a week already. I emailed Goldcircle on their contact email address “[email protected]” and received the following automated reply:

“Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: [email protected]. The recipient’s mailbox is full and can’t accept messages now. Please try resending this message later, or contact the recipient directly.”

I have not come across any communications from them by way of press releases or newspaper reports as to what the current problem is and when it is likely to be resolved.

Gold Circle’s Commercial Operations Manager Dean Moodie said that in so far as the TabGold website is concerned  he could confirm that their site has definitely not been “down” for the last week or so.

“ Having said that, following a recent upgrade of the PHP, we have had a few isolated instances where certain users have experienced problems logging on to the betting section of the website. In order to remedy this, the user is simply required to clear their cache and cookies on their respective device.  If they are unsure of how to do this, they can simply go the FAQ section on the website and scroll down to the last question – “Unable to log in because you need to clear your cache and cookies” – and simply click on the “clear session and cookies now” link. The issue with the support e-mail address has been resolved and we apologise for this occurrence.”

Moodie suggested Enver contact Sthembelo Mjadu on email  [email protected] and he would happily assist in getting him up and running again.

Enver was in touch with the Sporting Post an hour later to say his problem had been sorted.
