Zalatoris from the Paul Matchett stable takes his place in Race 2.

He stayed on nicely when fifth in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion last time.

He challenged strongly when behind Charming Cheetah over 1160m in his penultimate run.

The son of Erik The Red should love the rise to 1600m. Gavin Lerena is booked to ride, and he should be too good for this field.

Phillip and Jeannique Vermeulen send out Richard The First in the lucky last. His last three starts have been fair.

He stayed on when fifth over 1160m on the Standside course last time. He has finished second twice and third once from as many starts on this course.

The son of William Longsword drops in class and can notch up his third-career victory.
