Banking The Fortune On You’re So Special

First due off @ 12h25

The feature event on today’s eight-race programme at Fairview is the Non Black-Type East Cape Breeders Stakes (Race 6) which is run over 1200m.

Andrew Fortune makes the trip to the Eastern Cape with a couple of decent winning chances and may be worth following.

Trainer Kelly Mitchley sends out You’re So Special in Race 4 and she is the possible Pick 6 banker.

She has produced two good second place finishes to date.

She showed good speed over this course and distance last time, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Star Of Elena.

The booking of Andrew Fortune is a big plus and she should take a power of beating.

Green Mandarin from the Juan Nel stable may be the horse to close off the meeting.

He should have finished closer to the winner in his stable debut over 1600m on this course, as he had no luck in the straight.

He would have come on from the run and will love the rise to 1800m.

He does have a wide draw to contend with, but Andrew Fortune should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
