Turffontein plays host to a nine-race programme on the Standside course today.
The first is due off at 11h50 with the lucky last set for 16h35.

Mark Khan saddles Fiery Rose (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)
Fiery Rose from the Mark Khan stable takes her place in Race 3.
She finished second in both starts to date. She raced from just off the pace over 1000m last time but found one too good in the form of Queen’s Pact.
The daughter of Fire Away takes on males, but it is a weak line-up. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and should shed her maiden tag.
Trainer Fabian Habib sends out Miss Hannigan in Race 7. She finished half a length behind Glamorous Lady last time.
She is 1, 5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She finished second in her only attempt over this course and distance.
She is drawn widest of all, but Smanga Khumalo knows her well and he should give her all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
