The Stipes interviewed jockeys Khumalo (Green Sapphire), Matsunyane (Oxalis Gold) and Lerena (Spumante Dolce) in relation to an incident at the 1200m in which eventual winner Mon Petit Cherie (Fourie) made contact with the inside running rail and became unbalanced.

The Stewards adjourned to consider the evidence put forward by the riders and to consider the patrol film from the various angles.

After considering the evidence put forward by the riders and reviewing the film from the various angles, the Stipendiary Board deemed this to be a racing incident and took no further action.
