First due off @ 11h40

Today’s local racemeeting takes place on the Turffontein Standside course.

The first on the nine-race programme is due off at 11h40 and selections for the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge must be in at least 5 minutes before the first is off.

Trainer Tony Peter sends out Buffalo Storm Cody in Race 8.

He has won both his efforts as a gelding, the latest of which was in the Non-Black Type Mythical Flight Sprint.

The son of Buffalo Bill Cody has plenty of class about him and he should bring up the hat-trick.

Gavin Lerena retains the ride.

Pointer from the Alec Laird stable takes her place in Race 9 and she may be the horse to close off the meeting.

She is better than her last start as she was reported to be not striding out.

She has won twice and finished second twice from five starts over this course and distance.

Apprentice Nirvan Nastili takes the 2.5kgs off her back and if putting her best foot forward, she can return to winning ways.
