Greeff’s July Nominee Fires Best Shot At The Bay Today

First due off @ 11h45

Today’s nine-race programme on the Fairview turf track is headlined by the Non-Black Type Wedgewood Handicap.

The first on the programme is due off at 11h45 with the lucky last set for 16h33.

My Best Shot from the Alan Greeff stable takes his place in Race 7. He was super-impressive when winning the WSB Listed East Cape Derby last time.

He showed a good turn of foot and won a lot easier than the official margin suggests.

The son of Fire Away has been nominated for the Hollywoodbets Gr1 Durban July.

He should be ideally suited to this distance and will take a power of beating.

Trainer Alan Greeff sends out Olive Oyl in Race 5. She has made the expected natural progression with each of her outings to date.

She stayed on when third over 1200m on this course last time. The daughter of Vercingetorix will love the rise to 1400m.

She jumps from a good draw of four and if keeping on a straight line, she should be the one to beat.
