The first race at Hollywoodbets Greyville is off at 18h05

It is the second Global Team Horse Racing event which takes place at Hollywoodbets Greyville on the turf track this evening and eight races are carded. The Gauteng Gijimaz who are led by Gavin Lerena meet the Cape Stingers who are captained by Mark Khan. The first is due off at 18h05.

Trainer Gavin Van Zyl saddles possible pick 6 banker (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Wylie Riley from the Gavin van Zyl yard takes his place in Race 7 and he is the possible Pick 6 banker. He ran a good race when second over 1400m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time.

It must be noted that Fire Lord has come out and won again since. The manner in which he finishes off his races suggests that he will love the rise to the mile. With a bit of luck in running, he should go one better.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gary Rich saddles Boogie Shoes in Race 4. She should have finished a lot closer to the winner in her last start over 1600m on the polytrack. After a slow beginning, she was settled at the rear of the field. She started to make her run, but had to be eased at the 150m mark.

The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight finished third in her only attempt over this course and distance. She meets the right field this evening and can return to winning ways.
