July Reject Gets A Chance Today

The first race is off at 12h45

Eight races are carded at Turffontein Racecourse this afternoon. The combination of Paul Peter and Warren Kennedy team up in six races with a couple of good winning chances.

The first is due off at 12h45.

Sean Tarry saddles 2022 Hollywoodbets Durban July reserve Nebraas in Race 4. He has won his last three starts well, the latest of which was over this course and distance.

He moved up well that day and showed good guts to keep African Adventure at bay. This is a prep run for the Grade 3 Marshalls World Of Sport Gold Cup, but he is the class horse in the race and should notch up his eighth career victory.

Allez Les Bleu from the Roy Magner yard may be the horse to close off the meeting. She should have finished closer in her last start over this distance at the Vaal. She was slow into stride, had to switch at the 500m mark and hung in the latter stages.

It must be noted that Love Bite has come out and won again since. Her penultimate run when finishing second over this course and distance catches the eye. With a bit of luck in running, she should give the males a run for their money.
