Lady Yusra Looks The Right One

First race at Hollywoodbets Greyville - 12h40

Eight races are carded on the polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville. There are four apprentice races on the programme and the first is due off at 12h40.

Dean Kannemeyer sends out Lady Yusra in Race 5. She was unlucky not to have won her last start over this course and distance as she was awkwardly placed at the 300m mark and carried inwards late by the winner.

Dean Kannemeyer chats to jockey Keagan de Melo (Pic- Candiese Lenferna)

She has won once and finished second four times from eight starts over this
distance. The daughter of Silvano takes a slight drop in class and with a bit of luck in running, can notch up her third career victory.

Magic In Motion from the Wayne Badenhorst and Barbara Kennedy yard takes her place in Race 6. She ran a fair race against stronger company over this distance at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time.

She was reported to be coughing that day. Her penultimate run when winning over this course and distance catches the eye. She was settled at the rear of the field and ran on powerfully. The daughter of Var takes a drop in class and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h50
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h25
