The Cape Town Prawn Festival is one of the most highly anticipated events of the horse racing season in the Western Cape, and forms part of the not to be missed Summer of Champions series.

This year’s Prawn “lip-licking summer” Festival is coming to Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 20 February 2016.

The main races on the day will be the Gr3 Vasco Prix du Cap and the CTS Gr3 Chairman’s Cup.

Racegoers on the day will also be able to enjoy fresh succulent prawns at the bargain price of only R149.00 per person which includes a kilogram of prawns, chips, rice and a choice of peri-peri, lemon butter or garlic butter sauces.

Kenilworth logoThis family fun day will not only include live entertainment, but racegoers on the day can stand a chance to win appliance giveaways to the value of R 50 000.00 which includes a grand prize for one lucky racegoer of appliances to the value of R 20 000.00.

Winners will be drawn throughout the day in the winner’s circle and prize winners will need to be present in order to claim prizes, as well as have a valid ID or driver’s licence*.

Gates open at 11H00 and entrance is free. Bring the whole family and let the children enjoy a host of kid’s entertainment.
