Mailbag: Hot Rod

AS an avid owner, breeder and racing fan, I have to say that Rod McCurdy in Port Elizabeth needs huge congratulations for making the racemeetings so entertaining.

Ones feels his passion for the game, his humour and interactions with the racing connections makes PE racing the most enjoyable of all meetings to watch.

I am not a punter at all, but take note of his selections, and feel his pain when he bombs!

He studies the card with enthusiasm and makes it his business to know the local trainers, owners and jockeys which makes the winning interviews so much more entertaining. Also love his banter with Alan Greeff re their winning and losing PAs – makes for great viewing.

Keep it up ROD!
