No Bluffing-Slater Misses The Bus

When good times go bad - the in the last stride

Matthew Lloyd Slater looked sure to win the 1400m claimer at Leicester on Monday on Blufferonthebus, the 7-4 favourite, but then took things easy and got caught close home by George Wood on Nights Over Egypt.

Slater was given a 28-day ban.

The inexperienced 22-year-old was looking for his first winner after only nine previous rides.

“He will feel absolutely awful,” said Racing TV’s man at the track, James Millman.
