Trainer Tony Peter sends out Gregarious in Race 8. She was an easy winner of her last start over 1450m on this course.

She quickened up well and drew clear with ease.

The daughter of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the rise to 1600m and she can follow up.

Nkandla Gold from the Brett Webber stable may be the horse to close off the meeting.

He stayed on when second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time. He finished third in his only attempt over this course and distance.

Apprentice Jacey Botes takes the 4kgs off his back which will assist his cause. With a bit of luck in running, he can notch up his fourth-career victory.
