Mike de Kock racing reports that, in the care of UK championship log leader Andrew Balding, the dual South African Gr1 Cartier Paddock Stakes winner will be lining up against the likes of Benbatl and Master Of The Seas in this popular and competitive race, off at 16h35 (SA time) on Friday.

Balding has engaged Ryan Moore for the ride.

Mike de Kock commented: “Andrew has reported that Queen Supreme has impressed him and that she is doing very well, and this is encouraging for South African form. I won this race with Eagle Mountain and Soft Falling Rain, so it has a good history for us.”

Queen Supreme will race for Jessica Jell and new partner Gary Barber, the Hollywood film producer who has 50 films to his credit, including ‘Seabiscuit’.

Barber has already been successful at the Breeders Cup winning the Juvenile Fillies Turf with Catch A Glimpse, the Turf Sprint with Belvoir Bay and the Breeders’ Cup Mile with Tourist.

Bred by Thomas Hassett, Queen Supreme is a daughter Exceed And Excel out of the unraced Gone West mare Call Later, who has now produced three Stakes winners including Be Ready, a son of New Approach who won the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes.

Queen Supreme was purchased as a yearling at Goffs by Mayfair Speculators for €130 000 and subsequently acquired by the De Kock connections at a dispersal sale.
