Marshall’s Seeking The Stars – handicapped to hold Malmoos (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

He beat Linebacker by 0.50 lengths but that run would have brought him on significantly. Luke Ferraris takes the ride.

However, he will not be short of challengers, especially from the Vaughan Marshall yard.

The son of Vercingetorix is unbeaten since fitted with blinkers and although he has yet to race beyond 1400m, Seeking The Stars has shown no signs of stopping in his races.

Seeking The Stars will be ridden once again by Louis Mxothwa and has been priced up 5-2 second favourite.

Marshall also has re-opposing Linebacker, Rascallion (third in the Concorde Cup and 15-2 third favourite) , Look For Hounds and Contact Zone

Dennis Drier saddles Tempting Fate, already a Gr1 winner, but has yet to prove he goes 1600m. He won the Gold Medallion at Scottsville but his debut run in the Cape was most disappointing.
