He’s not in any discomfort in any way, shape, or form. It’s the hardest thing that I ever had to do, but I could never taken that horse and run him. Maybe he would have won the race, maybe he wouldn’t be any worse, but now that I know, I just couldn’t do that to him. He’s meant too much to me and he’s a tick off.

Animal Kingdom for Breeders Cup Mile

Animal Kingdom will return in the $2-million Breeders’ Cup Mile on the turf at Santa Anita Park on November 3 with a chance to become the first Kentucky Derby winner to go on to Breeders Cup glory since Unbridled in 1990.
