As small breeders go, few can match the consistent achievements of Farrell Ratner. From a small band of mares Farrell has produced a stream of Graded winners in the last two decades, culminating in the international success of Dane Julia in Australia. Economics dictated that not all home-breds could be kept, which explains how not all the good ‘uns raced in the colours of Ratner and regular partner Salzman.
