With the Six Nations over, attention in the northern hemisphere is now on the upcoming mid-year internationals. Expectations up north are, as always, quite high.
After Australia’s dramatic loss to South Africa has everyone talking and once again paying interest to the game. The Australian team was bowled out for their second lowest Test total ever, suffered a humiliating defeat, and suddenly ears start to prick up.
In between the jubilation and despair, something positive came out of the first test match between South Africa and Australia. It may not bring any comfort to Michael Clarke and his team, but the match could be a pivotal moment in the future of Test cricket.
