The HKJC Champion Awards 2024/25 Final Nominees

The Champion Awards Judging Panel has elected the final nominees for The Hong Kong Jockey Club Champion Awards 2024/25 as follows:

(1400m or below)

(Over 1400m to below 1800m)

Champion Middle-Distance Horse
(1800m to below 2200m)
·         ROMANTIC WARRIOR
·         VOYAGE BUBBLE
Champion Stayer
(2200m and over)
·         VOYAGE BUBBLE
Champion Four-Year-Old
(For four-year-olds as on 1 January of the current season)
·        CAP FERRAT
·         KA YING RISING
·         MY WISH
·         RUBYLOT
Champion Griffin
(For new imports carrying the ‘K’ brand, which arrived in Hong Kong unraced, and which were aged either 2 or 3 on the date of the first Hong Kong race meeting of 2024/25 season)

The Judging Panel comprises three members, each from The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and the Association of Hong Kong Racing Journalists.

The HKJC votes are made by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges; Executive Director, Racing, Mr Andrew Harding and Head of Racing Product, Mr Greg Carpenter.

The three members from the Association of Hong Kong Racing Journalists are Chairman Mr Carlos Wu, and Committee Members Mr Ian Sham and Mr Simon Leung.

The Judging Panel commends the connections of each of the final nominees for the excellent performances of their horses this season.

Winners of the Champion Awards will be announced at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Champion Awards 2024/25 presentation ceremony, held on Friday, 11 July, while the results will be published on The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s website.
