The National Horseracing Authority has confirmed that Gauteng trainer Paul Peter has appealed his matter.

Paul Peter – has appealed
This followed an inquiry to the NHA by the Sporting Post after a reader had brought the apparently outstanding matter to our attention.
Peter’s R630 000 fine in July of this year for the use of a forbidden substance and intimidating a jockey club official sent shockwaves through the South African horseracing industry.
Nothing further is available to Joe Public at this stage.
“The grounds of appeal do not become available to the public once an appeal has been lodged. The outcome of the appeal will be disseminated as per usual procedure,” said NHA Racing Control Manager, Arnold Hyde.
