Trent’s Instant Winning Return To Saddle Today?

First due off @ 11h55

Racing is at the Vaal this afternoon and nine races are carded. The first is due off at 11h55 with the lucky last set for 16h37.

After an injury-enforced absence of close on four months, national log-leading apprentice Trent Mayhew makes what looks to be a potential winning return in the sixth today when partnering Instant Attraction for his Dad, Craig.

The daughter of Canford Cliffs followed up her maiden victory with a good second-place finish over 2000m at Turffontein.

She has finished second once and third once from as many starts over this distance and has very consistent form profile.

Trent expressed some confidence about making it a winning comeback and we wish him well with his chase to secure his first national title.

Alone Time from the Kobus Roux stable takes his place in Race 9. He showed good improvement when third over this course and distance last time.

He took on much stronger opposition that day. He has won once and finished third twice from four starts over this course and distance.

The son of Willow Magic has dropped to a competitive rating and he can return to winning ways.

Note that Andrew Fortune will not be riding today and the bang in-form Serino Moodley takes the reins.
