A small, but competitive eight-race programme is set to take place this afternoon on the Turffontein Inside course.
The first race is off at 12h33 while the last race will be run at 16h45.
Jimmy The Rich writes that Dawn Of New Era produced a very good debut effort over 1200m at the Vaal. He was slow into stride that day, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye.
The son of Louis The King would have come on with the experience under the belt and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should take a power of beating.

Piere Strydom rides Kayla’s Dream (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)
Kayla’s Dream with Piere Strydom in the saddle, looks to be the best value in Race 6.
She is much better than her last start suggests.
She overraced that day which forced her to race wide. Her penultimate run when finishing second to Risk Taker catches the eye.
She was beaten a length that day, but is now 1.5kgs better off at the weights. If switching off early, she should be hard to beat in the run down to the line.
