The Real Prince On Track For Hollywoodbets Durban July

With the scratchings of Fiery Pegasus and Sail the Seas, the Real Prince looks reasonably secure in position no 14 on the July log.
But many Hollywoodbets Durban July entries could put up their hands this weekend, starting off with My Best Shot at Fairview, 10 candidates showcasing at Turffontein and another 17 in action at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

Frankie Zackey...Tks Mr Ed,,I'm sure many will be delighted to hear that The Real Prince will be running in the July...Who better than DK to get a horse ready especially for a July...If he doesn't see the 2200m out,,which is the only question mark,,then there's the HKJC Champions Cup at the end of July...Smart

The 1-2-3 At Hollywoodbets Greyville Today

Mr Bradshaw it's been proven again yesterday that this horse is not in the class that some people think ...in the racing world they must stop blaming Andrew if horses doesn't perform and bad mouth him its not good for the him or the sport. I've made the effort to speak to a few racing people and many said they backed the horse because of difference in

I find it such a pity that SA's biggest race is a handicap. Sure, it allows one to find good value on a longer shot way before the time (and then hope that it makes the final field) but to my mind, a country's top race should be a quality WFA where the best horse is likely to be showcased. I'll never understand all the hype about the VDJ and personally look forward to the KP, MET etc. more (granted the MET is a conditions race but closer to WFA). If one looks at Royal Ascot in 2 weeks' time, the emphasis is on the top Group races (WFA) and the "fun" (albeit very lucrative) races are the big handicaps (where we hope Skukuza wins for Mrs. R).
So in this instance, a potentially top horse has to bob and weave to get the right weight to make him competitive - that's ok but we miss seeing some top horses running in proper Grade 1's due to

How does this horse( The Real Price ) qualify for the top 20 with such a mediocre record like this, you must remember that looks and looks alone, can cannot make you a real deal in reality, I personally think there are a lot of horses who should qualify ahead of this individual, I will be extremely surprised if it makes the

I suspect that the team behind the Prince have considered all variables and made the correct decision. Dean is an experienced and successful trainer. This move should say something to those perceptive

No apologies , the two runs cannot be compared due ( in part ) to the different tactics deployed , poor ride by Mr. Fortune when well clear in front with 200 meters to travel , he thought he had the race won instead of being vigilant of the winner that came over the top to ambush him at the wire

This horse has only ever run up to 1600m, and his best win was a Listed race in Cape Town in February.
He's now avoiding the 'qualifying' races. No disrespect to DK but that seems to be a huge gamble, especially if those outside the top 20 perform well in the Jubilee, Trial, Gold Challenge and even the KZN
