Zackey And Matcha Mint Look The Duo To Beat

First due off @ 11h20

Ten races have been carded on the Vaal Classic course today with the first off to an early start at 11h20 and the lucky last scheduled for 16h40.

Selections for the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge must be in at least 5 minutes before the first is due off.

Trainer Paul Matchett sends out Matcha Mint in Race 3. She cost herself winning last time as she jumped awkwardly when leaving the gates.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since.

She should love the rise to 1600m and if jumping on terms, under jockey Craig Zackey, she should be the one to beat.

Gamer from the St John Gray stable takes his place in Race 6. He has fair consistent form lines to his credit.

He stayed on when sixth over 1800m at Turffontein last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The son of Potala Palace takes a drop in class and Gavin Lerena may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
