Gallops to decide fate of Tuesday’s Vaal race meeting
Since Saturday’s Vaal meeting abandonment and after receiving 50.5mm of rain, a further 46mm of rain has fallen as of Monday afternoon, with the penetrometer reading currently sitting at 30 (heavy).
As we are concerned with the forecast of more rains overnight and through Tuesday, gallops have been arranged for 07h00 on Tuesday morning to assess the underfoot conditions.
