Winning Form Strike On Opening Day

7 winners for Graeme Hawkins!

It’s definitely not a one day game, but the Sporting Post national tipping panel produced some fireworks at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Saturday.

The new initiative, aimed at bringing the various form-guide publications together on one platform for feature days, with a few wildcards in the mix, proved a success on the opening raceday.

All the eight tipsters nominated Celtic Sea for first and she proved the right banker selection when winning the SA Fillies Sprint for the second consecutive year.

Besides being denied a maiden Gr1 success as an owner by a short head when Warrior’s Rest pipped Ultra Magnus in the Gr1 Golden Horse Sprint, Gold Circle’s Graeme Hawkins struck with seven winners tipped on the ten-race programme.

Despite his red-hot form, Hawkins was beaten to the line by Winning Form, who tipped three winners, including the Golden Horse Sprint trifecta of 5-10-9, which paid R 1141-90 for a R1 outlay.

Sporting Post was in third position.

Computaform’s Germaine Maharaj, Gold Circle’s Andrew Harrison and the Cape-based Kingpin also tipped three winners each.

The points allocation is based on a weighting of the finishing position and dividend of the 1-2-3 selections in each race.

Thanks to everybody who participated and watch this space for the next feature day guide.
