The Sporting Post fielded calls yesterday after Fourie fans noted that their man was not riding today at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, on Wednesday at Hollywoodbets Scottsville or on Thursday at the Vaal, despite having no suspensions.
The top jockey thanked us for enquiring and indicated that he returns with a full card of rides at Fairview on Good Friday.
In the chase to beat the long-standing Anthony Delpech magic marker of 334, Fourie is now riding at a 22% win strike rate with 229 winners, just 29 off his career best of 258 winners in a term.
The R1 million offered by Hollywoodbets for the first rider this season to beat the Delpech record looks within reach for the 38 year old.
