Jockeys Tristan Godden and Craig Zackey had their Daily News Saturday engagements cut short when both were dislodged from their respective mounts, both first-timers, after finishing first and second in the second race on the big day.
The good news is that Tristan Godden was reportedly in good spirits late yesterday with no fractures reported, while Craig Zackey is said to have suffered a concussion and a sprained ankle, and will not be riding today at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

The Stipes reported that shortly after the finish Godden (Soldier Boy) and Zackey (Golden Operator) were dislodged from their respective mounts which ducked in sharply away from the shadow cast by the Hollywoodbets Greyville grandstand.
This precluded Godden and Zackey from weighing in.
In terms of Rule 66.2, the Board deemed their weight to be correct.
Jockeys Godden and Zackey were attended to on the track by the paramedics and the racecourse medical officer and then transported to the medical centre for further attention.

Godden was stood down after the running of this race with a possible humerus fracture. Rule 25.12 was applied.
Zackey was stood down after the running of this race with a soft tissue injury and a possible head injury. Rule 25.12 was applied.
For the title-chasing Zackey, being sidelined is a real blow as it was just over a week ago that he was kicked by a horse at Fairview and has just returned to the saddle. His absence will give his opponents Gavin Lerena and Richard Fourie some opportunity to build up a lead.
