The crowd figure for day five of Royal Ascot on Saturday was 71 073, up 2,6 per cent on last year’s total of 69 291.

Overall attendance across the five days was 286 541, a 4,8 per cent increase on the 2024 total of 273 528.

Felicity Barnard, CEO of Ascot Racecourse, said: “It has been a fantastic week with some brilliant sport to enjoy. I think we have been a window for our sport and I am absolutely thrilled. We have welcomed more than 285 000 people across the site, nearly a 5 per cent increase on last year. I think we have worked really hard across the year to understand what people want when they come to a world class event like this; the right pricing, the right product, and we have worked really hard at the experience. We want to make sure everyone has a great time, whether they are here for the horses, the food or the fashion. It is a wonderful eco-system and we are already excited for next year.”
