Veteran Cape Trainer Speaks Out Against ‘NHA Victimization’
I feel the most upfront, honest and never in your face is Ernie Rodrigues. In my opinion the most highly rated and years of experienced in the NHA.....To take on his employers proves the true colors of the man....only downfall is that he supports LEEDS FC....as we as RB....all the best Vaughan

Frankie Zackey..
1: "NHA Victimization" that means Tony Peter and Family has been victimised as well by the NHA and the general public
2: This happened months ago and Mr Marshall ( correctly challenged it) so has Tony challenged his ? The NHA have camped outside Tony's yard since then. Have they done the same to Mr Marshall ?
3: What is Pyroflam for horses ?
In horses: - alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculo-skeletal disorders. - alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic. - adjunctive therapy in the treatment of endotoxaemia and septic shock. In cattle: - reduction of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease.
Up until the 6th of May the NHA thought they were in the right. So why the double standards

This kind of behaviour does not but bring the sport of horse racing into disrepute. Vaughan Marshall is a trainer of impeccable standing. I so sincerely hope the people responsible for this farcical situation are subject to disciplinary action or else the NHRA will make itself into a laughing

Whether right or wrong the NHA are responsible for the negativity that surrounds horseracing and authorities
Vee Moodley has been implicated in more than one occasion and doesn't do the NHA image any good.
Conduct of some of the NHA staff or persons acting on behalf of the NHA are unbecoming and they should be dealt with.
Also remember SA Law states you are INNICENT UNTIL OROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW. YOU ARE ALSO ENTITLED TO REVIEW THE EVIDENCE WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY INCRIMINATING YOU.
None of the above facts have been taken into consideration and yet the Trainer Mr Tony Peter gas been labelled as Doping. This constitutes Deformation of Character and as well as Harassment to him and his Family.
I understandvwhy the crowd got rowdy but it doesn't make what they did right. People unfortunately reactive and the consequences thereof was a huge loss of money to all involved. The industry on a whole cannot afford this Negative Publicity if we want Investment in The Country.
So in Parting I Seriously think NHA must redtructure and rethink there policies and the racing public should just Chill a Little till All The Facts Are Determined

Thank you for sharing this with the racing public Mr.Marshall, albeit hesitantly. We, the racing enthusiast understand your reluctance.
SP readers, each case or transcript published or made public should not be co-mingled/compared with other NHA policing/monitoring issues.
However, if a trend of victimization or genuine intimation appears rampant in the way the NHA executes their duties then Hyde and Moodley should be charged with bringing racing into

Does the NHA have a board of directors that holds the CEO and executive accountable, or does Moodley and Hyde run rough-shod over all and sundry in that organization? Can the chairman/woman of the board fulfill their role and protect the integrity and reputation of the authority, which is that person's responsibility! A deafening silence from the board, are they all afraid of Moodley and Hyde? What's going

This is the 2nd such allegation against Mr Vee Moodley in the past 48/72 hours from credible sources on Sporting Post. I'm glad Mr Vaughn Marshall spoke out because this gives additional context and food for thought regarding the approach of the NHA.
I'm not ready (yet) to give the Peters the benefit of my personal doubt, but this article has certainly opened up my mind.
Interesting times ahead indeed, I'll watch this

Well done Vaughan, as long as I have known you there has never been a whisper or rumour against your integrity, which sadly can not be said of the NHA in this instance, to Ernie Rodriques a big shout out to you for speaking out against injustice, and to Robert Bloomberg who always goes the extra mile for those who are being

Is it not incorrect to imply that they stand alone in the receiving of fines Shabir? I am aware of MANY Trainers, high Profile Trainers, that have been fined in the past but you don't mention or question them. Pretty unfair to single Tony Peters out? If anybody stands accused of something the case must be made and served, not delayed and there should be no unfair, unscrupulous, unforgivable treatment dished out out the way this NHRA has on that Family. Its unprecedented, its ugly, its unjust, its unprocedurtal, its ..........I could go on and on but its inexcusable on principle alone regardless of the allegation/unsubstantiated charge. This mess is a product of the ineptitude or failure of the Regulator to deal with this matter. They must either conclude their investigation, serve their case OR stop their nonsense and intimidatory tactics, withdraw the allegations and close their shaky vendetta. To perpetuate this dismantling of this industry the way they are flies in the face of their stated objective and duty. It is hypocritical of their very purpose, AND, in case you are wondering, I am not saying that Tony Peters is innocent or guilty. I don't know that and neither do you. The NHRA and its silent backers (there are many whom I suspect have ulterior motive) are insinuating that but failing to prove it. Where we are at at this very sad time is on their shoulders. If someone accuses me of something untoward they must back it up with their proof, not some flimsy... read more

Tony Peter – No Milkshaking And Disassociates Self And Dad From Demo
I notice whilst Mr Tony Peter don't condone what happened, he at the same time defend those that disrupted the meeting with the words; "This was unacceptable to them as they had in no view chosen to gamble on the new favourite" The proposal by Mr Paul Peter to make the field JFs (contrary to the rules) gives the impression that gambling is more important to the Peters and their patrons/connections than the welfare of the horse.
Let me say this; The people that disrupted the meeting and spoilt it for numerous others are not punters, they are gamblers (to use Mr Peter's own words) and their is a not so subtle difference between the two.
Placing an exotic bet, however big, does not entitle any punter or gambler to disrupt proceedings. A gamble comes with no guarantees or entitlement irrespective of the odds. The Australian punter/gambler that placed a massive "live" bet for a small return in the infamous 438 cricket match can testify to this.
What was unacceptable (to use Tony Peter's word) was the behaviour of a bunch of self-entitled pompous hooligans that believe they are bigger than the game. As some of them are connected to the Peters, Mr Tony Peter should perhaps consider using the word apologize in addition to condone and unacceptable, otherwise it leaves the impression with me that he indeed

This Was A Bad Result For South African Horseracing
Robin, you were in the AGM and on the NHA board when Vee stood up and in reply to a query said” I am the CEO and can do as I want” which he has proceeded to do. I walked out of that meeting and got a lge fine for saying s#$t. You and 2 other board members spoke to Dorrie and I afterwards berating his behaviour but still he was allowed to carry on. As Bruce says below he would never be allowed to behave in that manor anywhere

Veteran Cape Trainer Speaks Out Against ‘NHA Victimization’
The sport of kings is seemingly being run by a partial group that should step down and give the industry a chance to actually progress.
Our thoroughbreds who are in demand by a growing overseas market surely makes our industry a circus Wen run by people who show arrogance rather than avoid being in the press week in and week out.
I am not taking favor to any trainers but rules are rules and without rules we surely will be much worse but also the people who over see the organisation can't be bigger than rules.
Some of them passed their sell by dates for sure and making the industry a mockery.
We have alot of more capable people who can run the game to show
