With the EU export gateway open, South African horseracing is set for a return to showcasing the value of our bloodstock to the world again.

The timing of the recent announcement by the SAEHP makes the BSA National Yearling Sale on 18 and 19 April a watershed two days as we commence a new era, and the dawning of new beginnings for stakeholders who have lived in a veritable bubble for far too long.

This year’s BSA National Yearling Sale will take place on 18 and 19 April at TBA Sales Complex in Johannesburg.

The sale begins at 10h00 on both days with the lot breakdown as follows:

  • Day 1: Lot 1 – Lot 230
  • Day 2: Lot 231 – 393

Minimum bid begins at R50 000.

There are 393 lots consigned by the a wide variety of our leading farms, showcasing high quality yearlings from our best families, that will go on to make their mark in the years ahead.

National Yearling Sales graduates can earn via the BSA Added Stakes Programme and 2024 Sales Graduates are eligible to bank R100 000 in added stakes bonuses in 2YO races.
