Racing takes place at Fairview with eight races carded for this afternoon.
The main event of the day is the Listed Breeders Guineas.
Don’t forget to tip your way to the top of the leaderboard for the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h25.
Global Ally from the Alan Greeff stable takes his place in Race 5 and he is the best bet on the programme.
He has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He stayed on strongly when second in the Non-Black Type Fairview Mile last time.
It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He drops to 1400m and the blinkers should sharpen him up.
With Jockey Richard Fourie in the saddle and approaching his double century of winners, coupled with a good draw of two, he should take a power of beating.
Watch the Trainer comments…
Trainer Juan Nel saddles Lady Majorca in Race 8 and she may be the horse to close off the meeting. She followed up her maiden win with a good third-place finish over 1000m on this course.
She stumbled leaving the start but the way she stayed on at the finish was encouraging. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.
The daughter of William Longsword has ability and if getting away to a clean start, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Jockeys Donald Geerthsen and Marco V’Rensburg will not be riding today.
