Cape Yearling Sale – The Day Has Arrived

One of South Africa’s best value for money thoroughbred auctions, the Bloodstock South Africa Cape Yearling Sale has produced a string of top prospects over the years, including multiple Gr1 winner Surcharge, who would go on to win at the highest level in Australia.

The popular regional sale will be held today at Mistico outside Paarl from 12h30.

Past graduates of this sale include Drakenstein Stud’s promising young sire Gold Standard, coincidentally represented by five lots on the catalogue, and fellow graded stakes winners Doosra, Elusive Heart, Final Judgement, Green Pepper, Hack Green, Princess Peach.

In total, 181 horses are catalogued for this sale, with the majority of the Cape’s top farms represented.
