Banker Kommet Today

The first race is off at 12h40

An exciting nine-race programme is scheduled at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Grade 1 WSB Cape Fillies Guineas.

There are three other feature races including the Grade 2 WSB Green Point Stakes, Grade 2 wsb.co.za Southern Cross Stakes and the Grade 3 Drakenstein Stud Cape Summer Stayers Handicap.

The first is due off at 12h40.

With the scratching of Jet Dark in the Grade 2 WSB Green Point Stakes, Kommetdieding from the Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix yard may be the one to beat.

He was running on too late when second in the Non-Black Type The Bantry Bay Stakes last time. He would have come on from the outing and will love the return to the mile. Gavin Lerena does duty once again and the pair should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

Thrilla from the Piet Botha yard represents decent each way value in the lucky last. She has shown good signs of a form return in her last two starts over this distance.

She raced from a handy position last time and stayed on strongly to finish third. It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since. Jabu Jacobs retains the ride and with a bit of luck from her awkward draw of eight, she can return to winning ways.
