A Busy Day For Munger

The first race at Vaal is off at 12h15

Eight races are carded on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon.

Ryan Munger has seven rides booked with a couple of decent winning chances and he may be the jockey worth following.

The first is due off at 12h15.

Run For Cover from the Ashley Fortune stable takes his place in Race 1. He ran a very good race when finishing second in his comeback run over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course.

He raced from a handy position, moved up well but was caught late by Ignatius. The son of Erupt would have come on from the run and will strip much fitter. He will enjoy the drop to 1450m and in this line-up, is the horse to beat.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Corne Spies saddles Kentallen Bay in Race 4. He followed up his maiden win with an equally impressive victory over this distance. He set the pace that day, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition.

The son of Eightfold Path takes a rise in class, but he has ability and should be up to the task at hand. He carries a handy galloping mass of 54kgs and can notch up the hat-trick.

Please note that R Danielson will not be riding today.
