Alado – The Value Bet

Pay when you sell

This release is another from AllanBloodlines in a short series about stallions for which they are introducing the PAY WHEN YOU SELL structure.

This one is at the low end of the range of stallion fees – fitting the market place – whilst being one of the best bred thoroughbreds in the world and doing the business.

What else can we say about ALADO that matters?

He is a career Winners/Runners approximately 50% sire, having been as high as nearly 70% on small crops and surely heading back that way.

His recent winners include a (this week) 8.5 lengths winning juvenile AXIOS bred in The Alado Project, a 3 times winner ALDATO bred by Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud and ROCKET COUNTDOWN Gr2 winner (and a blinder in last year’s July behind DO IT AGAIN) bred by Oldlands Stud.

His current yearlings and foals are exceptional by any standards – you’ll have to take our word for it or go and see.

At Mistico, he sold for 100% and 80% above the median and averaged 22% above it.

Comments included:

“If you’d had him from the outset he’d be a Book 1 Sire”, “Those colts are really good”, “Wasn’t he over 60% winners to runners?”

Now, he can be booked on the innovative AllanStallions “PAY WHEN YOU SELL” terms at a low fee in an attempt to make a contribution to breeders’ cash flows and have the stallion owner and manager absorb the cash flow deficit. It is increasingly difficult for many breeders of good horses to pay on Live Foal, 16-18 months before selling. That is the “cash flow gap” that AllanStallions offers to bridge.

ALADO has 2 x Fee Options (both plus VAT): R5,000 Live Foal or R7,500 Pay When You Sell as yearling or weanling at the breeder’s option.

Both fees can be less through the popular AllanStallions Scales of Fees (see below).

Trainers of some of ALADO’s more recent multiple winners include Vaughan Marshall (the current Grandiflora as well as earlier Stakes placers Adorada 4w – recently sold to go to stud – and Half Moon Hotel 5w L plx2 and Northern Conquest 4w Gr3 pl – he is very pleased with his latest Alado “Attagirl”); Alec Laird (Pale Lilac 3w, Flying Winger 4w both current); Duncan Howells (Baltic Amber 5w current); Joey Ramsden (Apollo Star 2w); Awesomeness 2w (Candice Bass-Robinson who also has Rocket Countdown 3w incl Gr2w Gr3 plx2).

ALADO stands at Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud near Hermanus where he is supported by a constant band of broodmares in The Alado Project managed by AllanBloodlines plus those of discerning breeders.

This stallion’s fees are extraordinarily low but until those sales medians rise again, AllanStallions can at least set fees and offer PAY WHEN YOU SELL to support breeders who come for this magnificent page – a direct son of the great Danzig out of a World Champion with dozens of Gr1 and other Stakes winners in the family.
