There has been deep concern for SA Champion Jockey Anthony Delpech following his harrowing fall in the SA Classic at Turffontein on Saturday, 7 April 2018.

On Monday, 9 April, medical investigation found that Anthony had suffered disc herniation and a damaged spinal cord and surgery was scheduled for Tuesday, 10 April 2018.

Late on Tuesday evening, agent Deez Dyanand issued an official update stating that Anthony had been successfully operated on this afternoon and is being monitored in ICU.

He added, “Candice confirms that he’s comfortable and the early reports that she’s received from the doctors are positive.”

We continue to keep Anthony and his family in our thoughts and wish Anthony the very best for a speedy recovery.
