Betfair to sponsor racing coverage in Ireland

Betfair has signed a sponsorship agreement with Ireland public service broadcaster RTE for coverage of horse racing on television and radio.
Betfair owns the most popular betting exchange in the world as well as Television Games Network, a U.S.-based advance-deposit wagering platform and racing channel.

RTE plans live broadcasts of 23 Irish racing days, including all of the major festivals.
It also plans coverage of key meetings from the United Kingdom.
“Betfair is delighted to join forces with RTE Sport in sponsoring their cross media racing coverage,” said Betfair spokesman Barry Orr.

“As longtime supporters of Irish racing, it is important for us that this key investment will also help secure the ongoing coverage of the sport across RTE. We look forward to working with RTE, bringing comprehensive racing coverage to their audience, racing fans and punters alike.”
