Signed an admission of guilt
Jockey Smanga Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride his mount Claw out to the end of the fifth race at the Vaal on 5 September 2024 to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards.
Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000.
When assessing penalty, the Stewards were satisfied the jockey had not prejudiced his chances of obtaining first place.
