Star Siblings In Ascot’s Draft

Sale starts at 12h00 on Friday

Ascot Stud, a long time supporter of the National Two Year Old Sale, will be offering a draft packed full of quality at  Friday’s August National Two Year Old Sale.

The Eastern Cape farm will be offfering two-year-olds sired by a host of stallions, including their own promising resident sire Global View as well as the likes of Querari, Silvano, The United States and Twice Over.

Lot 268- Girl’s World (filly) by Silvano (GER) x Bold Choice

Multiple champion sire Silvano, who passed earlier this week, is responsible for a beautifully bred filly in the form of Girl’s World (Lot 268). The latter is a full-sister to millionaire and Gr3 Final Fling Stakes winner Silvan Star and three-parts sister to Equus Champion, and Gr1 Vodacom Durban July hero, Bold Silvano.

Galileo’s Gr1 winning son The United States has three lots in this draft, including Central City (Lot 49), a half-brother to speedy Umngeni Handicap winner Kissable, and Fort Apache (Lot 221), a colt out of Gr2 The Fillies Nursery queen Waywest Goddess.

Global View, another son of the legendary Galileo, has some exceptionally well related lots on offer. They include Feeling Foxy (Lot 120), a half-sister to Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas runner up Our Destiny, Let’s Cruise (Lot 123), a half-sister to brilliant sprinter Search Party, Global Dollar (Lot 244), a half-brother to Gr1 SA Nursery hero Arabian Beat, and Copper View.

The latter (Lot 285) not only hails from the same family as Galileo’s star son Nathaniel, but also rates as a half-sister to four stakes horses notably dual Gr1 winner Copper Parade.

Lot 123- Let’s Cruise (filly) by Global View(USA) x Princess Magdalena

Other attractive lots in this draft include Special Duty (Lot 173),a  Querari colt from the same female line as dual Gr1 winner and young sire Erupt, and African Azure (Lot 237).

This well bred filly is from the immediate family of Australian champion Desert War and Gr1 winning two-year-old Romantic Touch.

Ascot will also be offering two lots on behalf of the Riyo Stud -Malinois (Lot 153) a Global View colt whose granddam is a half-sister to champion Saddlewood, and Polly Flinders (Lot 178). The latter is a Global View half-sister to four winners including the stakes placed Find Me Unafraid.
