Benmarne Stud Offer Six At Sale

A top nursery

The Benmarne Stud, whose previous alumni include such top-class performers as Monks Hood and Querari Falcon, will be bringing a six strong string to Friday’s August Two Year Old Sale in Germiston.

Lot 15- Le Bonheur (colt) by Coup De Grace(USA) by Happy Avenue

Le Bonheur (Lot 15), a colt by the Tapit horse Coup De Grace, is out of a full-sister to Gr2 Senor Santa Handicap winner Happy Forever and half-sister to exported Gr1 winning two-year-old Happy Valentine.

This well related colt also numbers five time G1 winner and successful sire Starcraft as a relative.

Global View, South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2019-2020, has two lots on offer. Hurricane Dorian (Lot 16) is a colt from the same female line as champions Colonial Girl and Edict Of Nantes, while Global View colt Tiger Spring (Lot 201) is out of a mare who won three and he hails from the same family as G1 winners Ballydoyle and Misty For Me -both of whom, like Global View, were sired by Galileo!

Jet Master horse Master Of My Fate had a fantastic season in 2020-2021, and the sire of Gr1 winners Sentbydestiny, Tempting Fate and Zarina is represented here by Gotta Have Fate (Lot 21).

The latter, a colt bred on the same cross as champion Tempting Fate, is out of a Var three-parts sister to Gr2 winner Happy Forever.

Lot 83- Caramel Fudge (colt) by Quasillo (GER) x Mirror The Moon

Other appealing lots on offer include Caramel Fudge (Lot 83), a Quasillo colt from the same family as the likes of Lord At War and Surveyor, and Tombstone (Lot 197), a Divine Jet colt whose dam is a full-sister to Java Handicap winner Fulcrum.
