Boland’s Gr1 Draft

Save the date - 20 November 2021

The Ceres-based Boland Stud will be offering a top-class draft at the BSA November Two Year Old Sale.

Boland’s draft includes a half-sister to last season’s Gr1 Cape Racing Presents The Cape Guineas winner Russian Rock as well as a colt out of G1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner On Her Toes, as well as some very other well bred two-year-olds -making this very much a string to watch!

The very exciting young stallion The United States has a regally bred half-sister (Lot 149) to Guineas winner Russian Rock in this draft, with this filly hailing from the immediate family of outstanding fillies Empress Josephine and Minding -both of whom, like The United States, were sired by The United State’s own sire Galileo.

Prominent sire Querari, whose progeny include the likes of Equus Champion Rio Querari and a host of other high-class performers, has three lots on offer here. Vaupes (Lot 49), who is from the immediate family of Querari’s Gr1 winning daughter Querari Falcon, is a colt out of Gr1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship winner On Her Toes.

This colt, offered by Boland as Agent, is not only out of a top-class racemare, but he is a half-brother to Gr3 The Debutante third Light On Her Toes and the stakes placed Twinkle Toes. From the same female line as the talented Nourbese, Vaupes’ granddam is a half-sister to the Gr1 winners Follow The Falcon and Savannah Queen.

Triple Gr1 winner Captain America’s Silvano half-sister Monpazier has a Querari filly (Lot 43) on sale, with this filly also hailing from the immediate family of current star Kommetdieding, while Pretty Woman, a full-sister to Gr1 Champions Cup victor Orbison, is another with a Querari filly (Lot 61) on offer.

Captain Al’s Cape Guineas winning son William Longsword has made a bright start to his stud career and he is represented here by a colt (Lot 60) whose dam is a three time winning 1/2 sister to the Captain Al sired Gr1 winner Pine Princess.

Boland Stud will also be offering, as agent, a colt (Lot 137) by Elusive Fort -the sire of last season’s Gr1 Vodacom Durban July winner Kommetdieding. Already named Safe Space, he is out of a four time winning half-sister to three black type horses notably Java Handicap victor Fulcrum.
